Philanthropy

In recognition and appreciation of the abundant advantages that my community enjoys, I believe in “Passing the Gift,” or sharing resources, skills and knowledge to create a network of hope, dignity and self-reliance for impoverished communities.

Women make up the vast majority of the people living in poverty around the world today. Yet they are often given the least opportunity to change their lives for the better.  By focusing on women, we also help struggling families and communities.

This is a core value of my firm, Suzanne Lovell, Inc. and we are honored to donate annually to Heifer International's Women in Livestock Development Program (WiLD).

When I met Joi Gordon, the CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide, I knew that I had found the perfect complement to our commitment to provide opportunity for women worldwide.   Joi shared her plans for an expanded presence in the Midwest and her vision for a Worldwide Central Headquarters and Boutique in Chicago – a beautiful space soaring over the city skyline – and that she wanted their women to feel like they had arrived at a wonderfully inviting home.  I realized that we could make an impact in our very own community.

My firm is known for the personal environments we create for our clients.  We believe in the transformative nature of design and the power it has to enhance lives.

By partnering with Dress for Success Worldwide and designing their Central Headquarters, we've created a platform that sustains their mission of promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women through a network of support that helps women thrive in work and in life.  Suzanne Lovell, Inc. has fashioned a safe and nurturing "home" that encourages this transformation to occur.
