Flower Power in outer space!

Japanese artist, Makoto Azuma, spent July 15th doing something that none of us did.  Mr. Azuma launched amazingly intricate floral arrangements (and cameras) into stratosphere.  From Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, helium balloons were the vessels used to bring these bouquets and a 50 year-old Japanese white pine bonsai tree into outer space.  The device got 87,000 feet into the air before falling… the flowers, however, are still floating around out there!
