Prada windows tell a story with “perspective”

A fresh look is hitting Prada windows following the hire of the first new window designer for the company in many years.  Italian designer, Martino Gamper, is taking over this monumental task from Dutch architect Rem Koolhaas and his design firm,OMA, after 25 years of their unique displays.  For his inital installation called, “Corners” (currently on display until the end of March 2015), Gamper shows his love for the simplicity of geometry through simple installations made of wood veneer and other natural materials in contrasting shades.  Boards were assembled to create corners, while landscape images are mounted in thin vertical stripes at the back of each niche with the mannequins at the forefront of the windows.  London and Milan were the first storefronts to display this great theme; but all 350 stand-alone Prada stores are now taking part with their own slight variations.
