If you happen to find yourself in Qatar, you’ll want to take a short jaunt to the private isle that houses Qatar’s new art museum. You’ll be begging to escape the desert heat and once you step foot inside this cubist structure designed by I.M. Pei (of the legendary Louvre glass pyramids), you will be accosted by an amazing assortment of 1,400 years of Islamic Art. Almost as interesting as the interior collection, the fact that Mr. Pei, at the ripe age of 91, decided to undertake this monumental task is lucky for all of us. Truly beautiful on the inside and out!
