The Guild Design Fair is opening this Wednesday in Cape Town, South Africa. This will be the fairs second year in existence. We are excited about this fair as it was created by the founders of the Southern Guild Gallery, who promote African design. Not only do they represent fantastic designers, they have also attracted some of our favorite dealers to South Africa. R&Company as well as Carpenters Workshop will be in the fair this year as they were last year. This is a fair that we are keeping our eyes on and hope to get to see one day!

Acclaimed architects Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens have worked on lodges and hotels throughout Africa, striving to continually utilize local craftsmanship and know-how in their sympathetic and award-winning designs. They create pieces that are engineered to adapt within their environment, adhering to the design studio’s philosophy of ‘design based on nature’.
