6 finalists were named in the Helsinki Guggenheim Design Competition, organized by the Solomon K. Guggenheim Foundation. As one of the most evolved cities in education, innovation and cuisine; it’s not surprising that this is the place was chosen for a new Guggenheim Art Museum. This new space will mainly feature artworks from the 20th and 21st centuries while specializing in, appropriately enough, Nordic art and architecture. The prime waterfront location has been secured and the urban site is close to the historic city center, allowing visitors from the sea immediate views of what’s sure to be an amazing building!
Submissions are anonymous, so no information is known about the finalists.
