Ala Ebtekar prominently featured at Dubai’s The Third Line Gallery

Ala Ebtekar is a visual artist from the San Francisco area. Growing up to Iranian parents certainly influenced his work as he attempts to explain the co-mingling between history and myth. Persian mythology, science, philosophy and pop culture all play a role in his pieces.

We especially love his large-scale paintings where he cuts out spaces within to allow for limitless interpretations by the viewer. Anyone visiting Dubai should stop into The Third Line Gallery where our friend and director, Claudia Cellini (who has generously hosted us at the UAE Venice Pavilion), has put together an amazing exhibition of Ebekar’s works. EntitledĀ Nowheresville, 12th-century Persian traditions are mixed -up with current scientific cosmic imaging. The finished product is the light that transcends… beautiful indeed!
