Amoretti Brothers
The Art of Craftsmanship…that is the statement on Amoretti Brothers’ website, and how true it is! The high-end brand of metal kitchenware beautifully combines functionality and elegance. The company was originally founded in Torino, Italy by four brothers that understood the utter importance of having the “right tools for the job.”
Even though their dream of starting a “copper products” company began in Italy, they knew that they had to move to Mexico in 2002 in order to realize their dream. In 2006, the brothers established Amoretti Brothers and three years later, they opened a factory in Tlalpujahua, Michoacan where they produce the highest-end copper tools, decorative lighting, and amazingly crafted copper cookware.
In 2009, Amoretti Brothers built a workshop on 3-hectacres of land. This idyllic location was near the Monarch butterfly biosphere… and it soon became home to a 2,000-square-meter space that functions as the company’s workshop, office, factory store, archive area, and living space for both workers and visitors.
Committed to only using high-end natural materials, the company has thrived as it continues to invest in the local community. The Tlapujahua community has been vital at hand-making the company’s products… the region’s artisans follow the family’s Italian commitment to quality, craft, and a design philosophy that comes from their heritage.
Adhering to a strong belief in equal opportunity, Amoretti Brothers hires an equal number of male and female artisans and each employee is paid a fair wage. In addition, the previously virgin land on which the workshops sits is carefully taken care of to ensure that no harm is caused to the land and the butterflies flittering by.
Our fine hammered home copper cookware, custom range hoods and sinks, and unique kitchen decorations are expertly made by our skilled copper smiths. Our dedication to high standards and modern business practices ensure each piece of cookware, lighting, range hood, sink, bathtub, and furniture are all made with the finest quality. We control the design, production, and worldwide distribution of all our handmade products.
After living in Mexico for four years, the four brothers and their mom, Anna, presented their hand-painted ceramic collection at NYC’s Gift Show. Soon thereafter, Dean & Delucca introduced the company’s copper cookware and Neiman Marcus showcased glassware. About the pieces Andrea Amoretti, the eldest brother says, “They’re elegant and with personality but, at the same time, very natural.” He continues, “My mom is from Southern Italy, and copper cookware is very common there. I love the idea that you can cook a meal in our copper pots and then place that same beautiful pot on the table for everyone to share.” The cookware is hammered by copper masters to reach the desired shape; handcrafted bronze handles and an inside tin layer makes each piece feel like a work of art.
Each piece that Amoretti Brothers makes is expertly produced by skilled coppersmiths. Every single item from copper cookware to custom range hoods and sinks is individually signed and guaranteed as authentic. The company’s research and design personnel make sure that the style and finishings are constantly updated and that the latest technology is factored into the design process.
Even though the look of Amoretti Brothers’ products remains classical, it remains perfect for even the most modern of kitchens. We love the wide range of copper hoods that come available in different finishes and patinas. In addition to the beautiful look of these hoods is that they are designed with an advanced ventilation system. Finally, the company’s commitment to sustainability ensures that the products are made for the long-term.
What we especially love about the copper cookware is that it is hand-forged and lined with tin by master coppersmiths that have a long tradition of copper work. The tin lining allows for thorough and temperate temperatures for the most optimal cooking experience. An added fabulous feature is that the pieces allow for easy transportation… whether it’s the copper folding handles on the roasting pan or the elegant handles on the skillets… pieces can go from oven to table rather effortlessly. True heirlooms and pieces of art that will pass through generation to generation with an engraved copper exterior.
