In thinking about Li Xiaofena’s inspiration from Ai Weiwei, Suzanne was reminded of her trip to Berlin with the MCA. Ai Weiwei had just been taken into custody and no one knew of his were abouts. The tour group all wore Ai Weiwei buttons to support his return from Chinese custody. The group sat on the stools under the tree in this sculpture and hear Ai Weiwei’s story .
