A tradition at the MCA, the winter solstice will be celebrate in high style this year with a performace from Chicago’s own Japanese drumming trope, Tsukasa Taiko. This big celebration of Japanese culture and jazz welcomes world-class percussionists Michael Zerang and Hamid Drake. For the 11th year, families wil be able to enjoy this unique event. Taiko Legacy bridges Japanese court music and jazz with giant drums, stylized kimono dance, and improvised music. Surely a feast for the eyes and ears!
If you don’t have tickets for this year, make sure to bookmark this event for 2015!
