On March 26, Chairs for Charity (in its sixth year) auctioned off 14 chairs that had been resurrected anew by some of Chicago’s top designers. Designs for Dignity was the beneficiary of this great cause and plans to use the money raised to further their pro-bono design services to non-profit organizations in need.
Enjoy a few of our favorites!
This is Jessica Miller’s chair, HAROLD. As co-owner of Lark Architecture, she brought back this chair from Palm Springs from a “trash” pile. Matte black paint and leather hide stripes were used woven to cover the wire grid.

Oh… the EVERYGIRL is an upholstered chair which was painted in order to receive a “new life”. Found on Craigslist, Everygirl’s co-founders, Alaina Kaczmarski and Danielle Moss, worked with a beautiful fabric from Loom Decor to reupholster this classic French chair.
