Love him or hate him, and there is certainly plenty of both, the Koons retrospective at The Whitney has certainly “packed the halls”. The Whitney announced today that they will increase their hours and stay open an extra day (starting Labor Day) in order to accommodate the crowds. The show encompasses over 35 years and 150 works of Jeff Koons’ controversial style. With everything from balloons to Michael Jackson to poodles, this show is sure to have a bit of something for everyone. If you have a chance, take advantage of the added time and take in a vast array of contemporary art’s poster child.
