El Greco and Modern Painting

During the 20th Century, artists had huge admiration for El Greco’s work. They appreciated his solid sculptural forms and his counter narratives evident in his paintings. Artists from Cezanne to Pollack were influenced by El Greco’s outstanding works from the 1800’s.
