Glamour at Paris’ Palais Galliera “Jeanne Lanvin” exhibition

We don’t believe anyone needs a reason to go to Paris; but in case you do, “Jeanne Lanvin” is an exhibition that opened last month at the Palais Galliera, curated by Olivier Saillard and his team at the Palais Galliera, and under the artistic direction of Alber Elbaz of Maison Lanvin. More than 100 ensembles from the past 100+ years are on display, highlighting the endurance of a label founded in 1889. Among the highlights of the show are the quintessential bouffant-skirted robes, examples of the beautiful embroidery and the “Lanvin blue”, which came as a result of Ms. Lanvin’s fascination with one of Fra. Angelico’s paintings. This exhibition is not to be missed if you happen to be in “The City of Lights”!
