Adam Silverman has his first solo exhibition in New York City up at Friedman Benda. The exhibition opened on May 5th and will stay up until June 11th. The exhibition titled Ground Control, is a new and extensive body of work from the LA based artist, that has dabbled in fashion and other art forms before landing in ceramics.

Silverman’s work utilizes the human body as a reference, subject and tool. Allowing the viewer to experience the human presence in many different ways. Each one of the works has a strong presence and commands attention from its substantial shape as well as the unique application of glaze. We are particularly interested in his works that have been thrown on the wheel, as they expand upon Silverman’s interest in the dramatic appearance of the artist through the works.
