Hokusai makes another appearance at MFA in Boston

As home to one of the greatest collections of Japanese art outside of Japan, it’s no surprise that there’s currently a significant Hokusai exhibition at the MFA in Boston. As perhaps the most recognized Japanese artist for his piece “The Great Wave”, the exhibit shows works from Hokusai’s 20’s through his 80’s. Paintings, wood block prints and illustrated books are among the pieces selected. Especially taking into account the time, the range of subjects Hokusai illustrated is as diverse as the amount of works he completed.

Now through August 9th at the Musesum of Fine Arts, Boston
