Some of the most creative achievements in history have been conceived on trains. It is said that J.K. Rowling hatched the concept for her Harry Potter series, and that Walt Disney drew the first version of Mickey Mouse on a train.
So, isn’t it time that innovation happens for the trains?!
China is working on just that! They currently have the Maglev train that travels at 268 mph between the Shanghai airport and downtown. However, that is not enough, Dr Deng Zigang is working on a Super-Maglev train that will reach 1,800 mph. The scientists have built a train that is suspended in a vacuum tube using electromagnetic force. The suspension minimizes friction and the vacuum almost eliminates air resistance.
