Light is key feature within Corning’s new Museum of Glass

Appearing as a huge white box from the outside, Corning’s Museum of Glass’ new wing has three facades that are completely composed of seamless glass sheets. This is quite fitting for the new 100,000 square foot Contemporary Art + Design Wing designed by Mr. Phifer, a lover of glass due to it’s transparency and reflectivity. Sun filled, each of the 5 new galleries is a different irregular shape with no right angles. Unique indeed! As the world’s largest exhibition space for contemporary glass, this innovative bright new space is worth a visit!
