We recently saw an amazing work by Larry Bell at the Denver Art Hotel and were inspired to write a post. “In 1964, Larry Bell, Frank Stella, and Donald Judd were like … rock stars—Larry wasn’t even 30—but they hit this high point,” said Hauser Wirth & Schimmel senior director Graham Steele. While Larry Bell has never gotten the recognition of Frank Stella or Donald Judd because he chose a more unique path, his work is outstanding. In December we purchased a few of his works at Art Basel Miami and have been interested in his works ever since. For more information on Larry Bell click here.
