The Magic of Lindsey Adelman’s Works

Lindsey Adelman creates shape-shifting forms and organic objects that are always playful and one-of-a-kind. Since opening her studio in 2006, Adelman has become a key player in the burgeoning lighting design scene.

Adelman’s team of 20 work collaboratively on all her designs. Her signature branching chandeliers continue to incorporate raw materials such as hand-blown glass, brass, leather, wood, porcelain and bronze. Adelman began her career working at the Smithsonian and with a degree from the Rhode Island School of Design (1996), Adelman’s body of work includes vessels, jewelry and wallpaper, among more.

The vine imagery in this Petal and Oil Lamp Brass Chain Net chandelier offers an amazing web of interlinked chains featuring white porcelain petal lamps. This piece comes from a collection for The Future Perfect and is titled “Ambrosia”. The materials here are, the brass chain, white porcelain, leather and molten glass.
