Masterful renovation of Saint Mortiz church in Germany!

If you are at all familiar with British architect and designer, John Pawson, you know that he is the ultimate in minimalistic aesthetics.  So, when we heard that he was part of a renovation project to a German church built many hundreds of years ago, we were intrigued.  The interior was innovative illumination which was a great contract to the heavy, dark pews.  The light also brought attention to the beautiful baroque paintings and cupolas “accessorizing” the church walls.  It really is breath-taking and a perfect reminder to how well old and new mesh together when tastefully integrated!
