For those of you heading to New York this weekend for Frieze, carve out an hour to visit the Mnuchin Gallery on the Upper East Side. Their show, Casting Modernity, is absolutely phenomenal. As Art Info reports, the curators would like you to forget what you know about traditional bronze and allow yourselves to be guided to a new understanding. Bringing Rodin and Bruce Nauman into the same room has never been done before, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. This show is confirmation of our approach of combining classic with cutting edge. It is certainly a tender challenge to combine styles while honoring history appropriately, and this exhibition does just that! The exhibition runs through June 7th, so don’t miss it.
