For the past 10 years, Italian furniture company, Nucleo, has been transforming epoxy resin into unique furniture pieces. For his recent works, Jade, organic material, here- case logs cut from a 200 year-old oak tree- were submerged in the liquid polymer and pigment was added. The finished product appears both raw and refined. Creativity works overtime because the material hardens quickly and ideas have to quickly adapt. Imperfections such as bubbles, fissures, rupture form as the liquid dries around the wood and all contribute to the one-of-a-kind creations.
Other recent collections included amethyst, quartz and nickel. Whatever your medium of choice, you can’t make a bad selection!
