Our senior designer, Gosia Podosek, is a very talented lady professionally; but on the side, her artistry is prevalent in the beautiful paintings she creates! We have admired her work for years and are thrilled to inform that she’s exhibiting one of her pieces, “Pines”, at the popular Grand Rapids’ ArtPrize. Each Fall, artists from all over the U.S. showcase their works for 19 days. In addition to the large monetary prize, the exposure is great. The winners are decided upon through both public vote and jury selection.

Her work can be seen as compositions of patterns, even though the overall outcome tends to be quite realistic. There is a lot of emphasis on textures – layers and layers of scraped on paint – which may speak to her design experience with complex fabric weaves.

Gosia’s “Pines” is a quadriptych (each panel: 72″ h x 32″ w) and was painted in 2012. The oil on canvas piece is gorgeous. We couldn’t be prouder… way to go Gosia!

Gosia’s 2014 submittion was “Reeds”, painted in 2010. It’s another gorgeous piece influenced by her travels.
