The Presidential china for the Obamas has been in the making since 2011. They wanted something that could be easily mixed and matched with past presidential patterns and functional for the many state dinners that they host. The china is now being referred to as the “Kailua Blue” state china, as the coloring is inspired by the color of the ocean in Obama’s home state of Hawaii.
