Screens are the new collectible

Screens were initially used as decorative displays generations ago by the Chinese and by Europeans during the Middle Ages as a way to bring color into their homes.  Lucky for us though, these decorative objects are making a comeback thanks to several French craftsmen.  An expensive “accessory” for sure, these beautiful folding screens are truly works of art!

Screen by Gilles & Boissier is made out of rare wood- white ebony, gum tree, smoked oak and/or waxed cedarwood among other.

Screen created by Frenchwoman, Zoe Ouvrier using a traditional scraping technique to create the silhouettes on the screen by use of plywood and acrylic paint.
