SFMOMA is reopening on May 14th after 3 years of renovation and expansion. Norwegian architect collective Snøhetta designed the new 10 story structure, transforming the relatively small museum into the largest Modern and Contemporary art museum in the United States. The fourth floor of the building is larger than the entire museum before construction.
We are excited to see the expanded collection and look forward to viewing the unique architectural approach taken that is transforming San Francisco into an arts and cultural hub of the United States.
