18th century Spanish barn serves as innovate new Loewe boutique!

Loewe handbags are synonymous with style throughout Europe… lucky for us, that might soon be the case in the U.S. too. Last month, luxury Spanish houseĀ opened their first American store. With the aim of transcending past, present and future, creative director Jonathan Anderson decided something other than the standard white, clean-lined retail space was needed to make the splash he envisioned.

SO…Anderson imported an 18th-century stone granary building from a small town on the border between Galicia and Portugal. The effect was amazing… and totally appropriate for the sophisticated art crowd that is drawn to Miami. The 36-foot stone barn was borrowed by Loewe for 10 years which goes along with Anderson’s philosophy that “stores are public places and thus, it’s important that they’re changeable”! We couldn’t be more excited… time for another trip to Miami!

Quite a way to make an entrance… with the opening of Loewe’s first North American store, an 18-century stone barn to house the gorgeous collection couldn’t have been more fitting!
