The Staircase Transition

Staircases are a beautiful point of transition, an extended threshold through which you cross from one space to another. They are the static memory of movement, their very existence in a space suggests movement upwards and downwards.

There are so many different interpretations and expressions of this moment, and how the stair is designed and manifested influences how a person transitions in a home, it is perhaps the only place where everyone touches and feels the architectural language of materials.
