Architecture
Suzanne Lovell Inc. in Forbes
We are proud to announce that one of our projects has been published in Forbes Life and Forbes Asia! Their apartment is a true testament to craftsmanship, and their understanding of quality and commitment to working with artisans makes them a treat to work with. We are so honored to have such fantastic clients and to work with such thoughtful collectors of art and antiques!
Their personal relationship with Barcelona and the architecture of Antoni Gaudí resulted in our purchase of a gilded wall console from Casa Milà. When inverted, the console is also thought to represent the Virgin Mary wrapped in a cloak. Upon the console, we placed a 16th century wooden sculpture from Japan in the likeness of Fudo Myōō, a prominent deity in Esoteric Buddhism known as “The Protector”.
An important photograph that is all about connoisseurship hangs in the parlor, a more intimate area for business meetings and a corner view into the grand entrance entertaining space. It is Thomas Struth’s Museo Del Prado from 2005, depicting a contemporary view of Velázquez’s Las Meninas (1656) and The Infanta Don Margarita de Austria (1660) as they hang today in Madrid’s Spanish Royal Collection.
