With the Holidays just around the corner, we asked Suzanne what is on her shopping list for this season. Here are her top ten picks for 2015 holiday shopping:
1. Photos in a frame are always an easy and thoughtful gift that is always well received. Let’s face it; we enjoy good photos of ourselves. Welcome, “the Selfie”.
2. Cocktail napkins with themes embroidered are always fun! My favorites have colorful flies to bring a smile to fly fishermen and women alike.
3. Books always go along way if you select friend’s favorite interest. I am giving Vermeer – The Complete Works this year to an art loving friend!
4. I love to shop for gifts at Museum Gift Shops. Especially the MCA here in Chicago. The MCA always has fun and imaginative objects & jewelry.
5. Note cards from The Printery: The note cards are a marvelous quality and modern sensibility with studied elegance.
6. And for the Tree there is no better place than Gump’s in San Francisco. Endless ornaments around every topic you can imagine.
7. Then there are the useful gifts, especially for my grown children who are both in their 20s living on either coast! They need computers and phones and practical things that just make life a little easier!
8. For a girlfriend I lunch with every month I always share a Mrs. John L Strong Calendar. We each have one and track whose turn it is to pay!
9. Buccellati Vessels (Palladio Collection): Villa Palladio – I love the wine coaster & small bowl especially. It is wonderful for serving vegetables at a family Dinner.
10. In Boston, the greatest new gift is a subscription for a friend to weekly or monthly flowers to their door by alicestable.com
