Dries van Noten is a master in our eyes. His designs are eclectic and eccentric and minimalistic all at once. The Belgian designer is finally getting his work recognized, it’s time! Initial inspirations highlight his creative process, followed by designs from the likes of Christian Dior and Vivienne Westwood, the iconic influences of pop culture figures such as David Bowie and Andy Warhol and artworks by renowned artists, Damien Hirst, for example.
This exhibition is certainly fun and gives us a chance to step into the creative mind of the extremely talented Dries van Noten. We are so excited to see what comes next for this genius; as he says: “I’m not nostalgic,” he said. “It’s not that I say those were the good old days and people had style. I try to take elements from that and push it into the future, to make clothes to wear now.” Let’s go shopping!
