Treasures of Bali

It just takes a strong cold Chicago wind to remind us of the glorious sun and surf of Bali. Suzanne explored Bali this winter and returned with beautiful textiles and images from her trip.

Suzanne recalls – “A peaceful people and a strong sense of character surround the craftsmanship and the beauty created by the Balinese. We explored all types of wood and textiles.  No other place in the world have we ever seen the lengths, widths and incredible character of natural tree slabs and tables. And the textiles are exceptional. Yuda was such an outstanding guide as he shared the temples and treasures of this beautiful country.”

Enjoy some of Suzanne’s favorite images from her trip.

A temple that we explored in Bali. There are hundreds of temples throughout Bali.

A view from the Uluwatu Temple at the edge of the southern most point of Bali.

A few Ikats that Suzanne found when she was in Bali.

This slad of wood was being prepared for a hotel installation. It is approximately 6ft wide and over 100ft long!
