Vegetarianism’s popularity brings on a wave of inventive dishes

Specially adapted hand-woven baskets and ceramic bowls for tofu dishes are popping up everywhere with the growing trend of meat-free diets in western countries among the world. As part of her final project at Bauhaus University, Weiwei Wang created a set that enables for the making and eating of fresh tofu. A set of steel tools was also designed which allowed for more ease in cooking, pressing, cutting and of course, eating of tofu.

We love the hand-woven baskets for molding which are created by rural Chinese artisans and believe that the Slow Tofu Kit, with it’s organic look, will find it’s way into our culture soon!
