Chicago artist, Hebru Brantley used bright primarily colored comic book heroes to bring renewed life to Pioneer Court Plaza after the questionable Marilyn Monroe statue was brought down. Here to stay for now, 16 brightly-colored Superheroes are now guarding our beloved city. Paying homage to the Tuskegee Airmen who bravely fought in WWII; these statues are meant to represent the hardships that local Chicago students face and the challenges they overcome. If ever there were inspirational figures, “The Watch” certainly fits the bill. Take time to walk among them, and just maybe you’ll be graced by their positive powers!
