Wingback chairs first gained popularity in the 18th century, and were originally designed to be positioned facing a fireplace so that the high, curved back would trap the heat and keep you warm. We still love the wingback chair for its iconic form and presence within a space. Today’s wingback chairs range from traditional to modern to exaggerated… here are some of our favorites:
