Armory Show and ADAA

Jack Shainman Gallery at the Armory Show

The opening of the Armory Show was buzzing on Wednesday. There were people from all over the world perusing the art works. The show, while it seemed that less dealers were at the fair this year, still had a number of great works. Here are some of our picks from this years Armory show.

Abelardo Morell, Camera Obscura: Late Afternoon View of the East Side of Midtown Manhattan, 2014.

Jaume Plensa, Laura in Huesca, 2014.

Andy Warhol, Diamond Dust Oxidation Painting, 1978.

After working our way through the Armory Show we went over to the ADAA show at the Park Avenue Armory. This is alway one of our favorite show as it is full of fantastic dealers and it is a manageable size. It draws a bit of an older crowd and has wonderful modern and contemporary works.

Anthony Gormley at the Sean Kelly Gallery

Zhang Huan, Poppy Field No. 1, 2010.

Joseph Mellor Hanson, Torso, 1927.
