Color is the key behind this gifted ceramicist

As a longtime prop stylist, it was a natural transition for Dietlind Wolf to start making her own ceramics. Initially working in her friend’s basement, she was inspired by her love of the Sung Dynasty after viewing an exhibition of items dated around 600 BC at the Museum of East Asian Art in Cologne. Wolf’s ceramic experimentation led her to work with dyed, non-glazed porcelain. She says, “Glazing is an art by itself – unreachable” (abc carpet & home).

Wolf was approached to design an exclusive ceramic and stoneware line for abc carpet & home in NYC. Whether the ceramics are as rough as iron or as delicate as a rose, there’s no denying they are gorgeous and would make a beautiful addition to any table!

This talented ceramist is also a prop stylist so clearly, she has an eye for style and color. The various pastel hues are breathtaking together or alone.
