Crystalized perfection at NYC’s Baccarat Hotel

Crystal Palace would be an equally appropriate name for NYC’s new Baccarat Hotel. A more opulent hotel would be hard to find… even in this city! Open since March, this 50-story structure “wants for” nothing more. There is fur upholstered seating and pleated silk walls. The bar is gorgeous with its 60-foot barrel vaulted ceiling, black-and-white floor and, most impressively appropriate, the 3 slightly different chandeliers that hang above.

Of course drinks are served in Baccarat crystal; but would you believe that Baccarat tumblers are placed in the rooms’ bathrooms for guests to use when brushing their teeth? And in case you can’t remember your room number, all you have to do is remember your floor. Individual rooms are graced with a glass vitrine containing a unique piece of art commissioned by one of twelve artists using Baccarat’s iconic Harcourt glasses.

Honestly the only thing missing is the perfect occasion to stay here… start brainstorming!

The lobby at the Baccarat Hotel has plenty of meeting spaces, as well as spots to rest those weary legs after a visit to the adjacent MOMA. The location couldn’t be more ideal!
