Magic within a bookstore in Romania

“Carousel of Light” is a most fitting name for this wonderful new bookstore that opened February 2nd in Bucharest, Romania. The history surrounding this edifice is even more vast than this six-story building. At the turn of the century, this building was owned by wealthy bankers and during the Communist era, the glory was seized and it was turned into an everyday store.

The massive structure today is equipped to house over 10,000 books and 5,000 albums and DVDs. With a restaurant on the top floor, a multimedia space in the basement and a gallery devoted to modern art on the first floor… you might wonder if you ever have to leave. The bright white that covers the entire building makes it inviting, bright and certainly magical!

A fitting example of why the name “Carousel of Light” is the perfect name for this stunning bookstore!
