We love women-owed and women-run businesses so coming upon Molecot was incredibly exciting. The Spanish-based brand first began as a “just a hobby.” Three women who were friends first (and businesswomen second), María José González-Moro, Marta Cotoner and Juqui Suárez de Lezo came together to create something they were all equally passionate about: dinnerware. The three women understood the importance of well-adorned tables and valued the art of entertaining.

Made of Limoges porcelain, Molecot tableware has become known throughout the world for exceptional quality and fresh, timeless design. Each piece is hand-made and hand-painted or individually manufactured in Spain; the smallest of details providing a balance between traditional and current.

The founders hoped that Molecot would enable combining different dinnerware with luxury table linens, candles, and flowers for an exceptional experience. Whether white or colorful, the quality and timelessness of Molecot porcelain ensures that no piece is simply “average.”

Galette Salad Bowl. This collection comes on a white base and is identifiable by an irregular shape. The contrast of the light pink color and gold rim makes this a stunning collection.

Molecot also has a Hand-painted Collection that consists of a line of Limoges porcelain pieces with distinctive designs. The inspiration for these special pieces comes from many avenues; among which are geometric shapes, interior designs, different cultures and of course- art.

These unique pieces are the result of painstaking work done by hand. The pieces are cooked in a special oven several times to ensure perfection. Each piece is individual since shapes and color slightly differ as they go through this involved and intricate process.

All of Molecot pieces are meant to be “mixed and matched” and the collections are as varied as the inspirations themselves. From celestial designs to florals to avant grade, every assemblage is made in collaboration with Maria de la Orden, a renowned Spanish designer and tastemaker.

In addition to tablewares, Molecot has evolved to include pots, candles, and lamps in their offerings. In addition, customization of dinnerware with a monogram or a special color is also available. It is clear that the trio of González-Moro, Cotoner, and Suárez de Lezo are working hard to ensure that Molecot becomes the “go to” porcelain when tastemakers throughout the world look to create stunning tablescapes… or maybe just a cozy evening at home for two.
