Throughout the years, wallpaper has been in and out of favor time and time again. However, previously nothing similar to Pictalab has been available. The team behind Pictalab is a collection of skilled Italian artists, painters, and high-end artisans. Internationally active for over 15 years, they take wall decorating to a completely different level… they are not merely painting a subject; they are setting up the wall to be the center-point of a room so that it compliments the furniture and architectural units already present.

The team at Pictalab has mastered a vast range of high-end decorative techniques. In their repertoire is coating and lacquer, fine marble and wood replicas, trompe-l’oeils, and frescos. When they first started out, Pictalab mainly designed, produced, and marketed  several motifs of plants and vegetable-inspired paintings… the company’s signature style. Pictalab found this as a way to make exporting traditional interior decorating easier, all while keeping standards high!

In terms of wallpaper, Pictalab artists paint directly on paper because it is a material that can be easily shipped. Once applied, it gives any wall the same finished look of an actual painted fresco. The signature collection includes: jungle, irate, shadows, magic forest, and iron. If none of these “fit your fancy”, you can customize whatever your heart desires.

We love Pictalab’s traditional motifs that present lush settings and contemporary colors. Every project is discussed with the client so that their ideas translate seamlessly into beautiful and creative solutions. With years of technical knowledge and organizational skills, the team has the perfect mix to develop and manage any kind of creative project sent their way.

With only ten artisans on the team, it is clear that each and every finished piece is filled with a lot of love and attention. Each team member brings a different skill-set and ability; but one thing that they all have in common is that they all share a passion for handcrafted decoration and for everything that is unique, stylish, and beautiful!
