SALON Fair in NYC is an elegant presentation of design and art

Manhattan’s Park Avenue Armory recently hosted the SALON Art + Design fair, featuring 55 galleries from around the world showcasing the best of their offerings. This year’s event was truly special, as design, art and antiques at the highest level intermingled in interesting presentations that made it a pleasure to attend. We, as usual, found it best to have discussions around the pieces that we were interested in when it was quiet, and had the pleasure of connecting with dealers, colleagues, old and new again this year.

Enjoy a selection from our visit to SALON 2015 below.

Fredrikson Stallard, Gravity Coffee Table, 2015, Acrylic, limited edition to David Gill Gallery, 20 + 2P + 2 AP

UK designers Patrik Fredrikson and Ian Stallard first conceived this sculptural table form in ice, and solved the problem of how to keep it from melting with this seductive use of acrylic. We have been thrilled with the presentations by David Gill at Design Basel, and so continues their excellent presentation here at SALON.
