SciArt in San Francisco gallery

For 2 more weeks, you have the opportunity to check out “Science in Surrealism” at the Wendi Norris Gallery in San Francisco. It’s no secret that science and art have been intertwined for hundreds of years. Scientific theories have influenced artists who were interested in evaluating the unconscious mind and weighing the rational vs. the irrational.

Lucky for us, San Francisco’s Wendi Norris Gallery in San Francisco put together an exhibition of roughly 20 pieces that haven’t been frequently shown. Oil painted by Max Ernst, Matta and Yves Tanguy, among others, from the 1920-30’s question the relationship and connection between science and the Surrealist movement. If you find yourself in San Francisco by August 1st, visit the exhibit for a fun visit back to your high-school physics class!
