The Style Files: Suzanne Lovell (La Dolce Vita) November 2015

By Paloma Contreras

Suzanne Lovell is a very well-regarded interior designer and architect based in Chicago. Suzanne founded her eponymous architectural design firm in 1986 and has since been named to Architectural Digest‘s coveted AD 100 List. Her work has also appeared in shelter publications including House Beautiful and ELLE DECOR. She has also designed a collection of fabrics in collaboration with Twill Textiles. Her first book, Artistic Interiors was published in 2011. In her own words, Suzanne is “a lifestyle architect practicing at the intersection of architecture and interiors, design and fine art”, subjects on which she is quite passionate. Highly intellectual and gifted as a designer, Suzanne has attracted a loyal list of high-profile clientele including several powerhouse women. Her aesthetic is tailored, elegant, and enduring. I recently had the opportunity to speak with Suzanne and got to know her and her inspiring work a bit better. Enjoy!
